About
I am a full-time artist based in Gloucestershire, UK, where I have a studio in the heart of Tewkesbury. Here, I create collections, work on commissions, and teach painting workshops. I am about to graduate from the University of Worcester with a BA in Illustration. Throughout my university years, I have immersed myself in the world of picture book making, developing a keen interest in their efficacy in brain injury rehabilitation. This interest is deeply personal; my husband is a stroke survivor, and picture books have played a significant role in his speech recovery and managing his challenges with aphasia. My studies have given me the opportunity to explore various image-making processes and particularly enjoyed combining expressive paintings, fast ink sketches, and mono prints then composing into digital collages (some are printed and then hand embellished with colour pencils). This experimentation has led to a process alchemy between analogue and digital that I really enjoy and can produce emotive and expressive visual narratives with.
